Don Goodwin has been helping people with their finances for more than 30 years. He started out as a tax preparer and has progressed into an IRS Enrolled Agent, and Life Insurance & Financial Investment Consultant.

Don Goodwin is a full time minister. He is currently the Pastor of Beech Creek Assembly of God in Livingston, Texas. He and his family moved to Livingston in 1997 to pastor the church. Previously they had pastored Faith Assembly of God in Vidor, Texas 12 years. He has also served on the sectional committee of the Lufkin Section Assemblies of God as Secretary/Treasurer; as well as serving on several ministry boards as Director.

Don graduated from Eastfield Jr. College in 1980 with an Associate in Arts & Science degree which included an Accounting Certificate. He also graduated from Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas with a Bachelor's Degree in 1995.

Don & his wife, Lori, were married in 1982 and have 3 children, Blake, Amy, & Dake. All of the children are actively involved in ministry at Beech Creek Assembly of God. Blake is a COTA, a Cerified Occupational Therapist. He is also involved in music ministry and the media ministry at Beech Creek Assembly of God. Amy and her husband, Lucas Swinnea, are youth pastors at Beech Creek Assembly of God. They are also involved in missions work to Mexico. Lucas and Amy both work for AFG. Lucas is a Texas Life Agent and Amy is a Certified Tax Preparer. Dake is attending college with plans to go into the nursing field. He is also involved in the music ministry at Beech Creek Assembly of God.

Alpha Financial Group is a vital part of Don's ministry. He is very thankful to be able to help many ministers and churches with financial situations that arise. It is very easy for ministers to fall into major problems with the IRS if they do not have the correct ministry helps in place. This is one of Don's areas of expertise.

Another area where he had been able to help many is retirement planning. He has spent much time finding safe and secure areas of investment that offer the greatest profits. In the past year many have suffered greatly because of the economical crisis of our nation. He has helped his clients in making sound finanical decisions for their future.

In August 2011, Lucas & Amy were blessed with a beautiful little girl, Presley. She is not only their 1st child but also the 1st grandchild on both sides. If you need AFG's assistance in any area, you no doubt will be hearing more about Miss Presley.
